Mapping immersive in West Yorkshire
Posted on 4th October 2025

Calling all immersive practitioniers in West Yorkshire, we want to find out more about you.
Live Cinema UK works with artists, events and creative projects making immersive events and particularly using immersive and XR technology. We’re based in West Yorkshire (Bradford and Huddersfield) and would like to learn more about the people working on these kinds of projects who are also based in West Yorkshire, so we can support our region in future projects and collaborations.
In the past we’ve worked on XR Stories funded projects such as Surround Stories to bring artists from multiple disciplines into immersive screens, and held Immersive Experiences 101 training to help artists to develop immersive work from scratch, with much of that activity focused on the Yorkshire region.
With the first Immersive Arts conference happening in Bradford this year, and the City of Culture year in the city, we’re particularly keen to find out how we can help develop the sector there – particularly the lack of immersive projects from Bradford making it in the first round of Immersive Arts funding.
The 2024 Immersive Audiences Report from the Immersive Experience Network predicted a growth of 36% for immersive audience growth over the next 10 years, with a broad demographic and geographical reach, so we think this is a valid area of potential growth in our region.
We’re interested not only in artists but also people who work in other sectors and use immersive and XR technologies, or who develop those technologies themselves.
Fill in our short survey if you’re an immersive practitioner of any kind
